About the role

Finance Business Partner across IAG Cargo Central functions & Customer Experience providing comprehensive and insightful financial and business information to support and influence strategic business decisions. Excellent exposure to the Cargo Leadership and Executive team. Support the Head of Finance to drive the business to achieve its financial targets & ensuring compliance with all corporate governance requirements whilst maintaining strong levels of internal control.

What you’ll do

  • Business partner to People / HR, Customer Experience, Transformation, Finance & CEO office teams, presenting key management information and supporting the creation and delivery of financial plans, business cases and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Lead financial and business reporting and forecasting processes for all central areas ensuring costs are accurately reported and tightly controlled.
  • Present complex information in an accessible and meaningful way to focus and drive improvements in financial performance.
  • Prepare and track Business Plans, Financial Plans (includes budgeting, planning and forecasting) and Local Targets using appropriate modelling techniques where required.
  • Control and decision support activities – Identify, influence and implement opportunities for cost reduction and / or revenue improvement through insightful monitoring and analysis of financial performance within each directorate.
  • Control and management of project accounting activities, including insight and evaluation of project success, production of business cases which facilitates key investment decisions and robust tracking to ensure project control and delivery.
  • Actively build and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues at all levels Across IAG Cargo, BA, Iberia and other group airlines.
  • Adhere to all corporate, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements via automation and standardisation and support or manage the implementation of any changes.
  • Provide information and support where required to internal and external Auditors.
  • Provide ad-hoc information, support and liaison where required.

What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo :

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills including ability to analyse and interpret financial and business data.
  • Able to present financial information clearly and concisely with great insight and influence.

Skills and Experience :

  • Strong understanding of finance theory and good level of practical finance experience in management accounting.
  • Business awareness and commercial acumen developed through the application of finance knowledge and experience.
  • Numerate and accurate.
  • Strong IT skills in MS Office and preferably experience of finance systems including SAP, S4Hana, Anaplan, Thinkcell, Tableau.
  • Proven track record of effective business partnering of commercial facing roles in fast moving business.
  • Experienced in providing business case support, project tracking and delivery of investments / initiative portfolios.
