DP World Madrid seeks a Finance Business Controller – Freight Forwarding to drive financial performance and partner with operations and sales. You will deliver IFRS-compliant reporting, analyze profitability, and support decision-making in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in finance/accounting, 3+ years in finance, and fluency in Spanish and English. SAP/BPC/Oracle experience and strong stakeholder management are essential for success.

• Lead KPI development and financial analytics to drive efficiency.
• Support working capital management and CAPEX evaluation.

Overview

As a Finance Business Controller – Freight Forwarding at DP World, you will drive financial performance and act as a key business partner to operations and commercial teams. You will deliver accurate reporting, provide insightful analysis, and support decision-making to improve profitability and operational efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial activities, including profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the freight forwarding division


• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly reporting packs (MBR) in line with group standards and IFRS requirements


• Act as a business partner to Operations and Sales, providing financial insights for contract negotiations and decision-making


• Drive performance improvement through KPI development, financial analysis, and operational efficiency initiatives


• Ensure effective working capital management and support CAPEX investment decisions with robust financial evaluation


• Support regional teams, shared services, and audit processes, ensuring compliance and collaboration across functions


• Lead reporting optimization and automation to improve efficiency and reduce non-value-added activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with min. 3 years’ experience in finance/accounting, including a management role


• Fluent in Spanish and English with strong communication and stakeholder management skills


• Self-driven and reliable, able to work independently in demanding environments and support operations


• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational skills and ability to push boundaries


• Experience with SAP, BPC, Oracle and advanced MS Office proficiency


• Strong technical accounting knowledge and project management capabilities


• Experience in logistics/contract logistics and mentoring others is a plus
