A leading company in the distribution of innovative consumer products is seeking a Finance Assistant in Madrid. The role involves managing daily financial transactions, processing invoices, and supporting the finance team with various accounting tasks. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and relevant experience, particularly with Quickbooks and Excel.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics required.
  • 2+ years of combined accounting and finance experience preferred.
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions.
  • Process invoices and follow up with customers and suppliers.
  • Prepare monthly stock reports.

Since beginning in 2008, we have launched nearly 100 brands and supply more than 100 of the largest retailers in Europe including Selfridges, John Lewis, Argos, Currys, Power, Elkjop, Boulanger, Fnac, Mediamarkt, Galaxus, Interdiscount and many more. We are seeking a Finance Assistant to support our accounting and daily transactions, including expenses and Accounts Receivable.

Role and responsibilities

  • Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions
  • Process invoices and follow up with customers, suppliers and partners as needed
  • Management of customer accounts, including issuing credit notes and credit control
  • Management of non-stock suppliers
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable on Quickbooks
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation
  • Track and reconciliation of bank statements
  • Create cost analysis reports (fixed and variable costs)
  • Reconcile the balance sheet, profit and loss accounts and other reports
  • Prepare monthly stock reports
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Any others relevant ad-hoc duties in support of the finance team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

Preferred skills

  • Work experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer, or similar role before
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and accounting procedures
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to detect numerical errors
  • 2+ years of combined accounting and finance experience preferred
