Hi there! I'm Rodrigo, founder of helloworld.Vc, an early-stage Venture Capital fund on a mission to back Europe's most talented technical founders at the very beginning of their journey.

Since launching the fund, I've invested in over 30 B2B software companies that have collectively raised close to €1B — all with a lean, hands-on approach.

I'm now looking for a Finance & Legal Manager to take ownership of the fund's operational backbone.

The day-to-day

You will lead the fund's core operational pillars — Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, and Compliance — ensuring we move fast and operate with precision.

This is a hands-on role that blends high-trust execution with strong attention to detail. You will be setting up systems and running them — from monthly reconciliations to legal documentation flows — supporting founders effectively and maintaining investor trust.

Finance, Accounting, and Reporting

• Recording and categorising transactions across the fund and related entities in internal systems
• Reviewing and validating reports from the fund administrator
• Managing cash flow, capital calls, and distributions
• Handling financial admin (invoices, expenses, follow-ups, etc.) and bank reconciliations
• Responding to ad hoc data requests from investors, auditors, or the fund administrator
• Collecting portfolio KPIs and compiling dashboards or LP updates

Legal, Compliance, and Documentation

• Reviewing legal documents for completeness and accuracy
• Coordinating signature flows, tracking filings, liaising with third parties
• Maintaining digital archives (contracts, accounts, cap tables, etc.)
• Organising KYC, AML, and tax documentation from investors and portfolio companies

Requirements

This role is for someone who is structured, autonomous, and enjoys building systems that work.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in legal, finance, consulting, or fund admin roles in a high-performance organisation
• Attention to detail, spotting inconsistencies early
• Highly reliable, discreet, and independent worker
• Strong emotional intelligence — positive, warm, authentic, trustworthy
• Excellent communication skills — clear, direct, human
• Native or bilingual in English and Spanish; other languages are a plus

Practical details

• Start date: September
• Part-time or freelance (1–2 days/week)
• Compensation: €35k - 45k/year (prorated)
• Location: Remote (Europe and/or Spain)
