Finance Analyst

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.

As part of the Expedia business-to-business (B2B) Finance team, the Financial Analyst will partner with EG leaders and other FP&A functions to enable solid business decision making through financial insight, meaningful analysis, and reporting. This person will be part of Finance Overhead and Efficiency team and act as Finance partner helping leaders optimize their spend.

They will be responsible for handling financial data, budgeting & forecasting, delivering internal reporting to key business & finance leaders.

In this role, you will:

• Provide financial support for all areas of B2B, working closely with the Commercial Organizations, Marketing, Product & Tech, Finance & Accounting
• Support all OPEX aspects including financial planning, analysis, budgeting/forecasting, reporting
• Prepare monthly management reports, variance analyses, trend analysis and financial review documents.
• Work closely with the different partners across B2B and EG
• Participate in cross-functional projects and provide ad-hoc analysis

Experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Finance / Economics / Accounting with 1-2 years experience in a similar financial planning or analytical role; or equivalent relevant experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to work with people at various levels across the organization
• Detail oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and competing priorities
• Takes initiative to identify current and potential problems and determines the best solution.
• Highly analytical and comfortable with complex data deriving from multiple sources
• Strong MS Excel skills with Hyperion/Essbase and Oracle experience a plus

Please note that this role is only available in the following location: Madrid, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week. We are unable to offer relocation assistance for this role.
