Job summary

Highwinds in Valencia, Spain is seeking an Accounting & Finance Analyst to support day-to-day accounting, AR/AP, and month-end close. Reporting to the CFO, you will help leadership understand cash flow and working capital while building scalable processes as the company grows.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in accounting, strong QuickBooks Online skills, and solid knowledge of accrual accounting and GAAP. Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and exposure to SQL or automation are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial analysis in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
• Solid understanding of accrual accounting, GAAP fundamentals, and the month-end close process.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation workbooks).
• Familiarity with ACH, wire, and online payment platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over accuracy and deadlines.
• Clear communicator who works well with internal teams and follows up with clients on billing matters.
• Experience in performance marketing, lead generation, or financial services is a plus.
• Exposure to SQL, reporting tools, or accounting automation is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support AR/AP operations, including client invoicing, partner payouts, payment tracking, and collections follow-up.
• Ensure invoices and payments align with platform data and contract terms.
• Perform regular bank, payment processor, and QuickBooks reconciliations.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain accurate, well-organized accounting records and supporting documentation for audits and tax filings.
• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Help prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare AR/AP aging reports and support cash flow forecasting and working capital analyses.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve accuracy through better tools and automation.
