Job summary

Whitewater Group, a multi-disciplinary engineering firm, seeks a Finance Specialist to support the day-to-day accounting for its Spanish entities. Reporting to the Spain Finance Lead, you will handle AP/AR, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting while contributing to cash management and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience in general accounting, month-end close, reconciliations and day-to-day Finance processes.
• Exposure to an international, multi-entity, project-based or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline.
• Good foundation in financial accounting and month-end processes.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, AP and AR, and intercompany accounting.
• Fluent English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
• Strong Excel skills and good systems literacy.
• ERP experience is desirable.
• Proactive, curious and willing to learn with potential to take on increasing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting: AP, AR, invoices, expenses, payments, accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, intercompany) and support monthly close.
• Assist with monthly P&L, balance sheet and management reporting.
• Assist working capital, cash management, and payment processes.
• Support tax and statutory compliance with Finance Lead and advisers.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and project profitability analyses.
• Support Group reporting and Spanish entity consolidation.
• Assist ERP implementation and finance process improvements.
• Take on broader responsibilities as experience grows.
