Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Field Service Engineer to provide both onsite and remote service and support for our customers. In this role, you will troubleshoot and maintain Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) instruments, ensuring optimal system performance. You will also collaborate with various teams to enhance service quality and customer experience.

Responsibilities :

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on NGS sequencing systems following documented procedures.
• Install and decommission NGS sequencing systems at clinical sites in compliance with established protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities.
• Coordinate service tasks with site personnel and ensure smooth operation.
• Provide technical phone support and assistance to customers.
• Assist in resolving technical issues before sequencing system installations.
• Train colleagues and partners on NGS sequencing system maintenance and servicing.
• Develop and update service instruction documentation.
• Recommend design improvements to enhance system reliability, serviceability, and user experience.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Support manufacturing operations as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Handle confidential information, ensuring security and compliance with organizational policies.
• Maintain confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information, including personnel matters, legal documents, financial data, contracts, and other proprietary information.

Requirements :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience : Proven experience in servicing electro-mechanical systems; prior experience with medical devices is a plus.
• Technical Skills : Ability to diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Soft Skills : Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Customer Focus : Outstanding customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
• Software Proficiency : Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Attention to Detail : Ability to strictly follow procedures without deviation.
• Travel Requirement : Willingness to travel.
• Language Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
