Job summary

ABB está buscando un Service Operations Manager para liderar actividades de servicio en planta y campo. El rol implica programación, puesta en marcha y mantenimiento de drives y sistemas de control, con fuerte interacción entre equipos locales e internacionales.

Se espera experiencia en mantenimiento, disponibilidad para viajar principalmente dentro de España y capacidad de coordinar con managers, ventas e ingeniería. Compromiso con la seguridad y las normas de calidad de ABB.

Qualifications

• CFGS o estudios universitarios en Electricidad, Electrónica o Automatización y más de 2 años en puesta en marcha, mantenimiento o asistencia técnica.
• Liderazgo seguro y ético; buena comprensión de seguridad funcional y prácticas de proyecto.
• Español nativo o alto; inglés deseable. Disponibilidad para viajar y ajustar horarios.
• Licencia de conducir vigente en España.

Responsibilities

• Llevarás a cabo programación, ingeniería, puesta en marcha, mantenimiento preventivo y solución de problemas de drives y sistemas de control ABB.
• Realizarás servicio con complejidad baja a media siguiendo instrucciones y procesos estándar y normas de calidad y seguridad.
• Servicio en guardia según contratos, al menos una semana cada tres, 24h para atender al cliente.
• Viajarás principalmente a nivel nacional (~60–80%) para actividades de puesta en marcha y servicio.
• Colaborar con gerentes de proyectos, ventas e ingeniería en múltiples ubicaciones.
• Asesorar a clientes sobre soluciones de servicio conforme a procesos y seguridad.

Your Role And Responsibilities

In the role as a Field Service Technician, you will be assuming responsibility for the programming, engineering, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of ABB industrial Drives and control-systems in Metals and Pulp and Paper Plants. You will be part of a local and collaborate with international project team providing solutions to our clients.

As a Field Service Technician, you will execute service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. You must take on-call service according to customer contracts, at least one complete week every three weeks. During the week of on-call service, 24h total availability to go home customer to solve the problems.

This role is contributing to the Automation Process Industries Division in Trapagaran, Spain.

Work Model

• As Field Service Technician, you will performance service tasks like commissioning and preventive and corrective maintenance of AC&DC Drives and Control systems.


• Service Technical Support: Take on-call service according customer contracts, at least one complete week every three weeks. During the week of on-call service, 24h availability to travel and attend customer’s corrective maintenance.


• Availability and Flexibility: Adapt work time to customer needs, that means working when required extra hours during weekends or public holidays.


• Willingness to travel (~60% -80% ): for commissioning and service activities, mainly domestic travel.


• Interacting and collaborating with project managers, sales, customers, and engineering peers across multiple locations.


• Consulting and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.


• Troubleshooting simple equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.


• Identifying opportunities to develop new service applications, equipment and methods

Qualifications For The Role

• CFGS or University studies (Electricity, Electronic or Automation) and more than 2 years in jobs like: commissioning, maintenance, technical assistance.


• Safe and ethical leadership attitude; good understanding of functional safety standards and project practices.


• Spoken and written Spanish native or high level.


• Good command of English, additional language skills are welcome.


• Leadership and Initiative and excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Available to travel and adjust working hours.


• Valid driving license for Spain are required.
