Perform outage and outage-related activities for training, preparation, execution, and closeout of outage projects. This includes, but is not limited to, activities such as outage management, coordination, and documentation.
Perform non-outage activities such as customer or Westinghouse equipment refurbishment or repair, component upgrades, and troubleshooting at both customer and Westinghouse sites.
Execute all assigned tasks under general supervision, ensuring high quality and adherence to qualified procedures and guidelines. Maintain attention to detail and document all quality-related issues diligently.
Develop and promote team-building skills with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers, and other Westinghouse departments.
Demonstrate good customer sensitivity and customer service skills.
Focus on creative problem-solving to address challenges effectively.
Position requirements: Extensive travel, maintenance of “Unescorted Access” status, adherence to the “fitness for duty” program, and working with hazardous materials.
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary degree/certificate or relevant experience preferred.
3-5 years of nuclear experience preferred.
General knowledge of nuclear power plant operations, maintenance, and outage procedures.
Specific training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems, along with proficiency in mathematics.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and procedures.
Participation in a qualification or certification program related to nuclear work.
