Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide routine maintenance and on-site or remote technical support in the Pulps and Paper Industries. The role involves heavy travel (approx.

140 days) and on-call rotations, with collaboration across ABB teams to deliver quality customer service. The ideal candidate has a background in Electric, Electronic or Automation, experience with servicing and commissioning, and fluency in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Higher Education in Electric, Electronic or Automation or university studies.
• Sound knowledge of servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing insert specific product.
• Knowledge of MS Office tools and PLC programming language.

Responsibilities

• Providing routine maintenance and on-site or remote technical support.
• Travel to domestic and occasional international sites (~140 days).
• Installation and commissioning of equipment, identifying technical problems.
• On-call service at least one complete week every 2 weeks, 24h availability during that week.
• Consulting with customers on service solutions and maintaining customer relationships.
• Coordinating and executing specialist projects with milestones and reviews.
• Troubleshooting simple equipment failures and recommending improvements.
• Identify opportunities to develop new service applications and methods.
