Jobtailor is seeking a Field Service Engineer to execute service work with low to medium complexity, install and commission equipment, and provide on-site or remote technical support for customers.

You will travel internationally, consult with customers on best solutions, and build strong relationships while upholding safety standards. A degree in Electrical/Power Electronics and 3+ years of field service experience are required, with English at an intermediate level.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical / Power Electronics or CFGS in similar fields.
• +3 years’ experience as Field Service Engineer with power electronics knowledge.
• English proficiency at medium-high level.
• Hands-on servicing, maintenance, commissioning and repair of Drives, Traction or Wind Power Converters.
• Independent, structured, and initiative-driven work style.

Responsabilidades

• Execute service work with low to medium complexity per instructions and safety guidelines.
• Plan and perform work on a first-time-right basis with customers.
• Provide on-site or remote installation, commissioning and maintenance support.
• Consult with customers to propose best solutions according to procedures.
• Build strong relationships and deliver specialist support to customers.
• Travel internationally to customer sites as needed.

Descripción del empleo

• Execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Plan and execute work on a first‑time right approach with customers.
• Provide on‑site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance independently.
• Consult with and advise customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Create and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing specialist support and solutions.
• International travel will be required, as the role will require hands‑on support at customer sites.

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical / Power Electronics engineer or CFGS in similar fields.
• +3 year of experience working as Field Service Engineer, with knowledge in measurement technology in the field of power electronics (voltage range up to 4kV) and with IGBT converter technology.
• Medium‑high level of English.
• Sound knowledge of and hands‑on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing of Drives, Traction or Wind Power Converters.
• Independent, structured and initiative way of working.
