Job summary

Evident Europe GmbH is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and repair high-end microscopy systems (confocal microscopes) at customer sites across Spain and Portugal. You will ensure optimal performance, perform preventive maintenance, and deliver proactive remote and on-site service.

The role requires 2–5+ years in field service, fluency in Spanish and good English (Portuguese a plus), and willingness to travel up to 70–80%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 2–5+ years of field service experience, preferably with confocal microscopy.
• Experience with analytical instruments or lab equipment.
• Strong electronics and electromechanical systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission advanced microscopy systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system calibrations.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues.
• Troubleshoot complex system failures and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain service documentation and reports.
