Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Field Application Engineer to deliver post-sale support for Cepheid GeneXpert systems in clinical laboratories across northern Spain. You will ensure installation, adoption, and optimization while traveling to customer sites, with remote work as needed.

The role requires coordinating with customers and internal teams to maximize uptime, provide hands-on training, and maintain equipment and software.

Qualifications

• Diploma and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Biology, or Bachelor's Degree with diagnostic industry experience.
• 2–3 years’ experience in health care/biomedical/handling Medical Devices or experience working with laboratory customers in the region and knowledge of diagnostic market.
• Fluent in the local language with a strong command of English; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Conduct pre-installation site assessments, install instruments, configure software and connectivity, and provide ongoing support during evaluation; assist after product launch and on assay conversion, trainings and updates.
• Monitor sites and deliver training on system operation, software, reagents and connectivity.
• Carry out reactive repairs, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, deinstallations, and relocations; manage spare parts and inventory.
