Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Field Application Engineer II to serve as the primary technical resource for the European sales team, based in Spain (Madrid) with remote option.

You will drive technology evaluations, translate customer requirements into electrolysis and fuel cell solutions, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to deliver field-ready applications. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of related work history.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Experience in industrial markets desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expert level technical knowledge of Plug Power products and solutions, including Electrolyser and fuel cell systems.
• Attend meetings with the sales team and help articulate product positioning to business and technical users.
• Respond to RFIs/RFPs with technical solutions.
• Develop technical solutions addressing customer field constraints.
• Provide technical training for sales teams and customers.
