Job summary

Plug Power in Madrid, Spain is seeking a Field Application Engineer to drive and manage the technology evaluation stage for European sales. You will act as the key technical advisor, translating customer requirements into reliable electrolyser and fuel cell solutions while coordinating with sales and engineering teams.

The role demands strong communication, problem solving, and project leadership as you support RFIs/RFPs and help shape new solutions for diverse industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in field applications or integration of technical solutions.
• Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is essential; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expert level technical knowledge of Plug Power products and solutions, including Electrolyser and related systems.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering to articulate product positioning to business and technical users.
• Gather customer requirements and develop technical solutions addressing field constraints.
• Support RFIs/RFPs with technical input and provide training to sales and customers.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to implement new product offerings and improve solutions.
