Valid is seeking a proactive Field Application Engineer to support OEMs and strategic partners in eSIM projects. You will provide technical consultancy, product expertise, and coordination across the eSIM/iSE ecosystem.

Based in Spain with hybrid/international travel, you will build relationships, support pre- and post-sales activities, prepare technical materials, and help tailor solutions for customers.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical support, field application engineering, or similar roles.
• Experience with OEMs, telecom, connectivity, or smart card technologies.
• Advanced English level.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Based in Spain with ability to work in a hybrid/international environment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical consultancy and training related to eSIM/eUICC solutions for OEMs, ODMs, and partners.
• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with strategic customers and partners.
• Manage licensed product deliveries including configuration, validation, documentation, and support.
• Coordinate proofs of concepts, demonstrations, and technical workshops for customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, OEM Sales, Technical Consultants, PMO, and Operations teams.
• Support pre-sales activities such as RFQ/RFP/RFI responses and technical presentations.
• Provide post-sales technical support and be the main technical contact for customers.
• Define and prepare technical materials, training documentation, and product samples.
• Analyze customer requirements and contribute to customization and solution design.
• Support project execution until customer approval and delivery.

We are looking for a proactive and customer-oriented Field Application Engineer to support strategic OEM and eSIM projects.

As a Field Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting OEMs, ODMs, and strategic partners by providing technical consultancy, product expertise, project coordination, and customer support across the eSIM and iSE ecosystem.

What will you do?

• Support OEMs, ODMs, and partners with technical consultancy and training related to eSIM/eUICC solutions.
• Build and maintain strong technical relationships with strategic customers and partners.
• Manage licensed product deliveries, including configuration, validation, technical documentation, and customer support.
• Coordinate proof of concepts, demonstrations, and technical workshops for customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, OEM Sales, Technical Consultants, PMO, and Operations teams.
• Support pre-sales activities such as RFQ/RFP/RFI responses and technical presentations.
• Provide post-sales technical support and act as the main technical point of contact for customers.
• Define and prepare technical materials, training documentation, and product samples.
• Analyze customer technical requirements and contribute to product customization and solution design.
• Support operational follow-up and project execution until customer approval and successful delivery.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or related fields.
• +5 years of experience in technical support, field application engineering, customer support, or similar roles.
• Previous experience working with OEMs, telecom, connectivity, or smart card technologies.
• Advanced English level.
• Availability to travel internationally when required.
• Candidates based in Spain with availability to work in a hybrid/international environment.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and technical customer support processes.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
• Proactive mindset, positive attitude, and strong customer orientation.

If you want this position to be yours, it would be desirable for you to have the following:

• Strong understanding of eSIM/eUICC ecosystems and mobile connectivity technologies.
• Knowledge of smart card technologies such as SIM, USIM, eSIM, iSIM, and M2M.
• Experience with GSM/3GPP/GSMA standards and related technologies.
• Familiarity with OEM processes, IC manufacturing processes, and mobile device integration.
• Experience with Java, XML, and Java Card technologies is a plus.
