Job Description:

An Electromagnetic Signature Engineer position has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join the EME, Antenna Systems and Signatures Engineering SP department. Tasks include contributing to the development of technologies for future military platforms, focusing on controlling, reducing, or exploiting signatures (mainly radar and IR), managing development and implementation aspects, analyzing characteristics, and maturing technologies for deployment.

Knowledge and skills required:

• Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics with a focus on Electromagnetics.
• Motivated to develop new technologies, work with complex systems, and collaborate in multinational teams.
• Background in electromagnetism theory and physics.
• Electromagnetic design skills (radiofrequency, microwave devices, antennas).
• Knowledge of platform-level integration, system engineering, and electromagnetic requirements.
• Programming skills in Python, Fortran, C++.
• Experience with electromagnetic simulation, CAD, and postprocessing tools.
• Knowledge of radar technology, signature modeling, and physics.
• Understanding of radar system engineering and RF measurements.

Scope of work includes:

• Developing new signature control technologies.
• Designing solutions for signature reduction.
• Managing activities related to Signature System Engineering.
• Participating in the full lifecycle of stealth platform development, including requirements, design, testing, qualification, and maintenance.

This role requires awareness of compliance risks and acting with integrity to support Airbus's success and reputation.
