Job Description:

The Welder's primary objectives are to ensure all required materials are prepared and welded according to daily production or custom fabrication specifications. The Welder maintains quality and efficiency standards consistent with company policies. They ensure goals and deadlines are met by fabricating products that adhere to company, state, and OSHA safety standards. The Fabrication Welder demonstrates Onsite Safety’s mission, vision, and core values at every level of work performance.

Requirements:

Essential Job Functions:

• Complete welding production activities as assigned, including drilling, punching, cutting, grinding, welding, and cleaning materials.
• Achieve quality control specifications outlined in the Daily Production Schedule Sheet and technical drawings.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
• Weld or join metal and other materials into various structures.
• Ensure all supplies are adequate for job completion.
• Have knowledge of engineering and technology relevant to welding.
• Maintain all machines and equipment with scheduled cleaning and maintenance.
• Keep accurate maintenance logs for all equipment, supplies, and tools.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and hazard awareness standards.
• Report any sub-standard quality equipment or products to the supervisor.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Properly dispose of hazardous waste following federal and state laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Time Requirements:

• Work in all seasons and weather conditions, including non-climate-controlled warehouses.
• Lift, carry, and unload a minimum of 55 lbs.
• Operate high-impact power tools safely.
• Be flexible with scheduled shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Complete Job-related and OSHA-10 training provided by the company.

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Competent in the safe and proper use of MIG & TIG welders and other common hand and power tools.
• Ability to communicate and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Welding/fabrication experience in a warehouse or production facility.
• Certified Welder.
