Job summary

Six Senses Quexigal Palace in Spain is seeking a dedicated F&B Server to deliver luxury service in a refined environment. You will warmly welcome guests, guide them through menus, and ensure accurate order taking, beverage preparation, and seamless coordination with restaurant and bar teams.

You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of menus, hours, daily specials, and resort activities while upholding Six Senses standards.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities

As F&B Server, I willassume full responsibility for theefficientoperation in the following:

• Ensure all guests are welcomed warmly and courteously, using their names whenever possible, and provide attentive, personalized service.
• Escort guests to their tables or bar seating, present menus professionally, and handle telephone calls efficiently.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately, advising guests on menu items, cocktails, wines, pairings, ingredients, and allergens.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, presentation standards, and Six Senses guidelines when required.
• Ensure prompt and efficient service, coordinating effectively between restaurant and bar teams.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all F&B menus, outlet opening hours, daily specials, activities, and operational procedures.
• Ensure all mise en place is properly prepared before service and follow opening and closing checklists.
• Recommend and promote food, beverages, resort facilities, and experiences, identifying appropriate upselling opportunities.
• Monitor stock levels of beverages and service items, communicate replenishment needs, and ensure responsible use of resources.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-maintained service areas, equipment, menus, wine lists, and beverage lists, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Handle guest billing accurately, minimizing discrepancies and ensuring correct payment procedures.
• Uphold Six Senses service standards and strictly adhere to LQA requirements, using guest feedback to continuously improve service quality.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance, grooming, and hygiene, and comply with all relevant safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Respect guest privacy and confidentiality, ensuring the proper protection of personal data.
• Attend briefings, meetings, and training sessions to remain informed about operational updates, special events, policies, and guest preferences.
• Support colleagues across restaurant and bar operations, promoting teamwork and seamless service delivery.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Assistant Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Head Bartender in support of overall operations.

Qualifications

To execute the position of F&B Server, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1-3 years restaurant experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting. Hospitality diploma/degreefrom a recognized hospitality school is preferred.

• Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.

• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.

• Fluent in English and Spanish; I understand thatadditional languagesare preferred.

  Valid authorization to work in Spain is required. Applicants must hold the appropriate visa and/or work permit where applicable. European visa or valid work permit required.
