La Universitat de Barcelona busca un investigador postdoctoral especializado en química medicinal. El candidato ideal tendrá experiencia en síntesis química, supervisión de personal y gestión de proyectos de investigación. Se ofrece un contrato temporal de 16 meses, con un inicio previsto el 2 de mayo de 2025, en un ambiente académico vibrante y con la oportunidad de involucrarse en actividades de divulgación.

Formación

• Más de 2 años de experiencia postdoctoral en una universidad diferente.
• Experiencia en desarrollo de metodologías sintéticas.
• Experiencia en gestión de stocks de reactivos y otros consumibles.

Responsabilidades

• Síntesis, aislamiento, purificación y caracterización de compuestos.
• Supervisión de miembros menos experimentados del equipo.
• Preparación de informes y organización de actividades de divulgación.

Supervisión de estudiantes pregraduados

Offer Description

Chemical synthesis, isolation, purification and chemical characterization of analogues of an antimalarial lead compound and different chemical probes and fluorescent derivatives thereof to be used in pull-down studies. Supervision of less-experienced members of the team working in the project. Preparation of reports and presentations for regular meetings. Organization of outreach activities. Management of stocks of reagents, solvents, and chromatographic material.

Degree in Pharmacy or Chemistry (+ Master in Medicinal Chemistry or Organic Chemistry), PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, experience in medicinal chemistry projects, with hit-to-lead optimization

Specific Requirements

Over 2 years of postdoctoral experience in a different university to that of the PhD degree; experience in the development of synthetic methodologies; experience in the synthesis and characterization of fluorescent compounds; experience in the isolation, purification and characterization of highly polar polyfunctionalized compounds; highly qualified in structural elucidation by spectroscopic techniques; experience in supervision of pregraduate students; experience in the management of stocks of reagents, solvents, and other consumables for a med chem laboratory; training or experience in intellectual property, transfer activities, valorisation projects and / or biotech companies; highly qualified user of ChemOffice, MestreNova, SciFinder, and Reaxys; engagement in outreach activities.
