Job summary

Ball Corporation, a world leader in sustainable aluminium packaging, seeks a Process Expert to support start-ups, new line installations and conversions across the EMEA region. You will drive performance, stability and operational excellence in chemical processing while partnering with plant teams and project stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on can manufacturing experience, 3+ years as a CPO/CPM, and a Chemical Engineering degree (advantageous).

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience in can manufacturing.
• 3+ years as a CPO or CPM is required.
• Chemical Engineering degree or related discipline advantageous.
• Hands-on expertise with washers, wastewater systems, soluble oil systems, filtration and cooling towers.
• Experience with equipment setup, troubleshooting, process optimization, and chemical process control.
• Ability to train and transfer knowledge; Train-The-Trainer certification advantageous.
• Willingness to travel extensively; fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead process performance during start-ups, new builds, and line conversions.
• Perform specialized process adjustments to improve efficiency, quality, and environmental performance.
• Drive troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for complex process and equipment issues.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure reliable operation of front‑end processing equipment.
• Train and coach site teams in process understanding and autonomous operation.
• Support emergency breakdown recovery, size conversions, and capability building across sites.
• Identify waste reduction opportunities and support CI initiatives.
