Job summary

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking an experienced lawyer based in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid. You will join the Markets Legal team to enable complex transactions while maintaining robust risk controls and regulatory alignment.

The role focuses on capital markets documentation, derivatives, securitisations, and related regulatory matters. You will work with market professionals across jurisdictions in a challenging, high‑impact environment that rewards initiative and

Qualifications

At least 8 years of experience providing legal advice on Capital Markets transactions.
Experience in derivative, repos and securities lending transactions (Preferred).
Degree in Law (Required).
A financial background and/or a degree in Business Management or a related field will be considered a plus (Preferred).
High level of English (Required).

Responsibilities

Legal advice on Capital Markets transactions, including structured notes and repackaging across jurisdictions.
Legal advice on traditional and synthetic securitisations, and securitisation- and finance-linked swaps.
Providing legal advice on derivative transactions across all types of underlying assets and on related documentation.
Providing legal advice on Treasury and Markets matters and regulatory developments.
Participating in multidisciplinary forums and working groups.
