Amazon is offering an internship in Madrid for a Process Improvement Specialist Intern - 2027. You will work on continuous improvement initiatives, employing data analytics and AI tools to optimize the driver experience and internal processes.

As a penultimate or final-year student in business or related field, you will analyze data, partner with site leadership, and deliver actionable improvements while gaining real-world impact from day one.

Formación

  • English fluency at C1 level or higher.
  • Penultimate or final-year student in business, supply chain, transportation, economics or related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, macros).
  • Strong ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Eligible for a full-time internship lasting 3–6 months.

A day in the life

As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will be at the forefront of making Amazon better - which means improving safety, productivity, and quality. Part of your role will involve running observations and audits to identify where processes could be enhanced. You will also use AI-powered tools to analyse data, generate insights, and accelerate the development of solutions - from automating reports to modelling the impact of process changes before implementation.
You will be based at one of our locations and accountable for positively influencing operational efficiency. If needed, you will carry out analysis at other local or national sites. On top of dealing with productivity and safety, you will have the opportunity to share best practices and ideas with our EU network. In this role, you will use data and AI to drive improvements and continue to grow our shipping capabilities.

Basic Qualifications
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above
  • Currently in your penultimate or final year and working towards a university degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics or similar field
  • Analytical skills with advanced level in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, macros)
  • Relevant fluency of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
  • Eligible to complete a full-time internship lasting between 3 to 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant understanding in using AI or digital tools to support analysis, automation, or problem-solving
  • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
  • Understanding of scripting tool such as Python or SQL would be advantageous
  • Proficiency with supporting tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, MS Excel, and MS Access)
