Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer Intern to join one of several teams, contributing to design, build, and optimization of fulfilment infrastructure across its large-scale supply chain network.

You will collaborate with global teams, support deployment of new equipment, and gain exposure to MHE metrics visualization with structured mentoring.

Formación

• Final or penultimate year in Engineering or STEM degree.
• Advanced Excel: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links.
• Fluent English (C1+).
• Full-time internship (40 hours/week) starting in Q3 with 6 months duration.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and implement small to medium automation projects with system elements.
• Develop with global teams to plan, install and commission new equipment.

Key job responsibilities

As an Operations Engineer Intern, you could have the opportunity to join one of the following teams: Project Management, Change Management, People Management, Planning, Contracting Management, Infrastructure, Reliability Maintenance Engineering and more. You will work on a project with real impact within Amazon. This could include:

Design, build, improve, and innovate order fulfilment infrastructure throughout the large-scale supply chain network.

Manage, design, and implement small to medium scope integrated automation projects with system elements such as high-speed sortation, multiple conveyors, package lines, and/or robotic work cells.

Develop alongside global teams to support the planning, installation and commission of new equipment, including project managing implementation of new processes.

Support within the EU Controls network on a project to enhance the capability to monitor MHE metrics and provide visualization and data to internal customers.

Working on a program to train technicians in the basics of control systems fault finding to raise the level of knowledge within the site.

A day in the life

Every day is different as an Operations Engineer Intern. You'll work alongside experienced engineers on real projects that design, build, and improve fulfilment infrastructure across Amazon's large-scale supply chain network. You might spend your morning analysing MHE performance data and developing visualisations to help teams monitor equipment metrics, then spend your afternoon on the warehouse floor supporting the installation and commissioning of new automation equipment. You will collaborate with global teams, interface with stakeholders at all levels, and drive solutions with real operational impact.

Internship Start Dates Across The Year

We are hiring interns to start in Q3 2027 with six months availability.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently in your final or penultimate year and working towards a university bachelors’ or masters’ degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial or Software), or a STEM subject.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above
• Available for a full-time internship (40 hours/week) with Q3 start date and commit 6 month internship

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon. If you have all the basic qualifications above, we’d love to hear from you.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
• Understanding of ISO 13849 & 62061
