Amazon in Madrid invites you to join a full-time internship focused on process improvement across warehousing operations. You will plan and implement improvements, use AI tools and data analytics, and work with site leadership to boost safety, productivity and quality.

You'll be based at a location in Madrid, spend 3-6 months on the program, and gain hands-on experience with real projects, dashboards, and cross-functional collaboration with EU teams.

Formación

• Penultimate or final year student pursuing a relevant degree.
• Fluent English (C1+) required.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot, macros).
• Strong stakeholder communication ability.
• Eligible for a 3-6 month full-time internship.

Key job responsibilities

Plan and implement continuous improvement initiatives designed to innovate the driver experience and make our processes more efficient

Use AI tools and data analytics to identify process inefficiencies, automate repetitive tasks, and prototype solutions

Analyse feedback and use data to own and implement process improvements at the site

Work with station management and other stakeholders to identify and solve process-related issues

Audit processes for compliance and work to close any gaps by supporting business decisions with analytics

A day in the life

As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will be at the forefront of making Amazon better – which means improving safety, productivity, and quality. Part of your role will involve running observations and audits to identify where processes could be enhanced. You will also use AI-powered tools to analyse data, generate insights, and accelerate the development of solutions — from automating reports to modelling the impact of process changes before implementation.

You will be based at one of our locations and accountable for positively influencing operational efficiency. If needed, you will carry out analysis at other local or national sites. On top of dealing with productivity and safety, you will have the opportunity to share best practices and ideas with our EU network. In this role, you will use data and AI to drive improvements and continue to grow our shipping capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

• Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above
• Currently in your penultimate or final year and working towards a university degree in business, supply chain, transportation, economics or similar field
• Analytical skills with advanced level in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, macros)
• Relevant fluency of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
• Eligible to complete a full-time internship lasting between 3 to 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant understanding in using AI or digital tools to support analysis, automation, or problem-solving
• Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
• Understanding of scripting tool such as Python or SQL would be advantageous
• Proficiency with supporting tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, MS Excel, and MS Access)
