Responsibilities:
- Market Expansion & Strategy: Collaborate with the VP Business Development EMEA to assess and execute market entries in selected European countries, prioritizing Spain.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage existing local teams and establish new teams based on business needs.
- Market Analysis & Insights: Conduct comprehensive market research on competitors, regulations, and key drivers.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with FMCG retailers, NGOs, government bodies, beverage producers, and DRS operators.
- Operational Setup & Growth: Define market entry strategies ensuring local presence and sustainable growth.
- Team Transition & Handover: Establish local teams to manage daily operations post-market entry.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate between local teams, customers, and European operations, including facilities in the USA, Germany, Romania, and Greece.
- Financial & Business Planning: Oversee financial performance, investment strategies, and business planning with the VP.
- Commercial Strategy & Execution: Guide proposals, tenders, and negotiations.
- Leadership & Coaching: Mentor local management teams for strategic success.
- Location & Reporting: Based in Madrid, reporting to the CCO in the Netherlands.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Commercial, or Technical field.
- Over 10 years of international business development experience with proven success.
- Ability to develop profitable business cases and market entry plans.
- Experience building international teams and establishing new offices.
- Deep understanding of European retail dynamics, especially in food retail.
- Project management experience managing large-scale rollouts.
- Knowledge of legislation and experience working with government bodies.
- Long-term strategic thinking (2-3 years ahead).
Skills:

- Fluent in English and Spanish; French or Italian is a plus.
