A leading open-source startup is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to design and implement new features for their content management system. The ideal candidate will have 6–10 years of backend development experience, strong skills in TypeScript and Node.Js, and a passion for developer tools. This is a full-time remote position available to candidates in several European countries including Spain, France, and Germany, with a competitive salary range of €63,000–€76,000.

Half of the company is engineering, split across 5 teams and they raised a $30M Series A round.This role is ideal for engineers who love building for other developers, are passionate about open-source software, and want to work at the intersection of stability, user experience, and developer tooling.Core ResponsibilitiesProduct Ownership :

Design and implement new features and tools for the CMS from powerful content manager enhancements to AI-integrated user flows.Lead proof-of-concepts for new developer experiences and prototype improvements to workflows.Code Quality & Stability :

Write high-quality, well-tested Node.Js + TypeScript code that enhances performance and reliability.Ensure stability through unit / integration tests and strong documentation.Cross-functional Collaboration :

Work hand-in-hand with product designers, engineers, and PMs to drive the product roadmap forward.Engage with their open-source community and contribute to reviewing PRs.Technical Mentorship :
