At Nordic Innovators, we´re looking for experts to lead EU Innovation Fund proposals . Whether you are freelance or seeking a full-time role , this is a mission-critical position shaping the future of Europe´s clean energy transition - and we´re only looking for candidates with proven, hands-on EU Innovation Fund experience.

In this role you will lead and write proposals for EU Innovation Fund calls as part of a diverse international team of funding and technical experts. You will work with Europe´s top cleantech companies, energy innovators, and industrial leaders, supporting them every step of the way.

We are looking for professionals who have written EU Innovation Fund proposals, who understand what makes a project innovative, and who relish working on business plans, technical feasibility studies, financial models and GHG calculations. You are confident in leading complex proposal development and interacting with clients, and at your best when coordinating across stakeholders and working to deadlines.

You will work under the guidance of our Team Leaders and together they will help you to develop yourself while providing training and mentorship, so that you become a key part of our growing team of successful consultants who are consistently producing high-quality grant proposals for our European client base.

Responsibilities

• Writing and preparing high-quality, detailed proposals for the EU Innovation Fund programme and similar EU calls (such as IF Hydrogen Auction or Connecting Europe Facility - CEF).
• Leading client management processes from the outset with a focus on service and quality.
• Conducting relevant research, analysis, and strategic decision-making pertaining to a successful proposal.
• Collaborating on developing feasibility studies, greenhouse gases emission avoidance calculations, business plans, financial models and commercial strategies for ground-breaking solutions and industry-decarbonisation projects.
• Extensive teamwork and collaborations across internal and external teams with a focus on stakeholder management.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in innovation, funding opportunities, and your areas of expertise.
• Contribute to Nordic Innovators as a whole.

Candidate requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience preparing and writing EU Innovation Fund proposals.
• Experience with similar EU funding calls (IF H2 Auction, LIFE Programme, Horizon Europe Cluster 5, Clean Hydrogen Partnership, CEF, IPCEI, Breakthrough Energy Catalyst, etc.) is desirable.
• A university degree (MSc or PhD) in one or more of the following economic and technical fields : Business Administration and Management, Corporate Finance, Investment and Risk Management, Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry, with a specialisation in renewable energy related areas such as carbon capture, biofuels, green hydrogen, batteries, offshore wind, photovoltaics / solar power, etc.
• Understanding of the frameworks and procedures of European funding programmes.
• Fluency in English (C1 minimum).
• Experience working independently with limited supervision and being proactive.
• A team player who contributes to the existing positive working environment.
• Excellent people and communication skills to build a positive connection and to communicate professionally with clients, co-workers, and project partners.
• Client-focused and forward-centric mindset with the capacity to inspire others.
• Work permit in Spain, Portugal, or France required for full-time employees.
