Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a System Engineer for Managed Operations to oversee the ESC operations, collaborate with global teams, and improve availability and performance for EU customers. You will drive operational excellence, implement changes safely, and contribute to automation and incident resolution.

The role involves on-call responsibilities, working within a diverse team, and relocation support for EU candidates. Fluency in English and EU citizenship/residency are required.

Qualifications

Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting.
Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
Experience in Systems engineering, site reliability engineering, building and operating systems at scale.
Must be national of an EU member state and reside in EU.

Responsibilities

Operate and improve one of the largest software systems.
Review operational health and write actionable bug reports.
Follow change management processes for production changes.
Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents.
Develop scripts to accelerate root cause analysis and incident response.
