Paul Marlex, in collaboration with a prominent company in the food industry, is seeking an Environmental and Sustainability Technician to join their environmental management team in the Maresme area.

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation applicable to the food industry.
• Implementing and following up on sustainability programs (e.g., carbon footprint reduction, responsible use of natural resources).
• Coordinating internal and external environmental audits alongside the Quality Manager.
• Collaborating in obtaining and maintaining environmental certifications.
• Training staff in best environmental practices and sustainability.
• Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in production and logistics processes with a focus on sustainability.
• Supporting the environmental traceability of raw materials.

We are looking for someone with:

• A degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Vocational Training or Higher Technical Degree studies are also valued.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the food industry.
• Knowledge of national and international environmental regulations.
• Experience with environmental management systems (ISO 14001 or others).
• Desirable experience with sustainability certifications in the agro-industry.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and teamwork skills.
