Overview
POSITION DESCRIPTION – DCT SALES SPECIALIST – WAGO IBERIA. Wago Iberia is the subsidiary for Spain and Portugal of WAGO, a German multinational founded in 1951, still 100% family owned. WAGO designs and manufactures components for electrical connection for industrial electronics, installations, electrical panels, as well as for automation projects. Wago Iberia's main office is in Alcobendas, with additional offices in Leioa (Vizcaya), Sant Cugat del Vallés (Barcelona), and Gines (Seville), and local presence in Galicia, Navarra, Valencia, and Portugal. The local team currently consists of approximately 50 people. Business development (sales) in Spain and Portugal, using WAGO DCT (Device Connection Technology) components.
Responsibilities
- Develop success in sales both in the direct customer list but also contributing to other existing DCT customers attended by other local sales team members.
- Product Support coordination with the local sales team.
- Analyze advanced interconnection solutions for DCT clients, including WAGO and potentially third-party products / services, increasing the brand awareness, sales, market share and number of customers in the DCT industry in Spain and Portugal.
- Global project coordination starting in Iberia that might involve other countries.
- Report activity through advanced CRM solutions.
- Fluent contact with other Wago sites (HQ and other countries) specially with Product Management and DCT Sales Team.
- Contribution to international sales and product meetings.
- Continuous teamwork with the rest of the Iberian commercial team, including regional and distribution managers.
Qualifications
- o Superior Engineering Degree, Bachelor's or Technical Engineering in Industrial Electronics, Telecommunications, or similar fields.
- Minimum English level :
- o Proven experience of at least 5 years in sales of DCT components or solutions.
- o Minimum 5 years of proven integration in sales teams, planning objectives by client, product line, and sales; preparing budgets by account, person, geographic area, industry, etc.
- o Able to travel frequently along Spain and Portugal, including several nights out of home every month
- o Senior experience in customer negotiation, considering different aspects including pricing
- Will directly report to the General Manager Iberia and will be functionally aligned with the Head of Sales DCT South Europe.
- Sales KPIs will consider both sales in the direct customer list and total sales DCT in Spain and Portugal.
