Job summary

IQVIA in Madrid is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist responsible for day-to-day implementation of site EHS policies to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. The role oversees EHS programs regionally and at local sites in line with IQVIA policies and applicable regulations.

The position requires 2–3 years of site EHS experience, a Bachelor's Degree, and strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and knowledge of environmental and safety laws across multiple jurisdictions.
• 2-3 years' relevant site EHS experience.
• Regulatory knowledge across jurisdictions.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, training and communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.
• Certified Safety Professional and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (or eligible) or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site-level EHS programs to ensure compliance with IQVIA Corporate EHS policies and applicable regulations.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented from audits and reviews.
• Maintain site compliance calendar and track recurring actions.
• Train large groups on safety procedures and environmental laws.
• Conduct or coordinate site risk assessments, inspections, and audits; assist teams with CAPA development.
• Ensure adequate local EHS resources and training for site personnel.
• Identify training needs and deliver required programs for site compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management to address health, safety and environmental hazards.
