Banco Santander S.A. is seeking an Equity Derivatives Trader based in Madrid, Spain, to manage market risk on the equity derivatives trading desk and price/execute transactions for institutional clients. You will collaborate with Sales, Structuring, Risk and Quants globally to deliver tailored client solutions.

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) is looking for a Equity Derivatives Trader based out of Boadilla del Monte, Madrid, Spain.

As a Equity Derivatives Trader, you will play a key role within our Global Markets business, managing the market risk of the Equity Derivatives trading desk while delivering pricing and execution across a range of equity derivative products for institutional and corporate clients. This is a global role, working closely with colleagues across our international trading platform to provide best-in-class client solutions while maintaining robust risk management standards. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the market risk of the Equity Derivatives trading book in line with the desk's risk appetite and limits.
• Pricing and executing Equity Derivatives transactions for clients.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 4 years' experience managing equity derivatives in a trading role within Global Markets. (Required)
• Experience with Structured equity Products. (Preferred)
• Experience with e-Trading platforms and being familiar with price management and feedback analysis. (Preferred)

Education

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or another quantitative discipline. (Required)
• Postgraduate qualification (e.g. MSc or CFA) is advantageous. (Preferred)

Languages

• English (Required)
• Spanish (Preferred)

Hard Skills

• Strong understanding of equity derivatives, pricing and market risk management. (Required)
• Bloomberg and advanced Excel skills. (Required)
• Programming knowledge (Python, VBA or similar) and experience with trading analytics tools. (Preferred)
