Job summary

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking an Equity Derivatives Trader based in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid, Spain. You will manage market risk on the equity derivatives trading book, price and execute trades for institutional clients, and collaborate with Sales, Structuring, Risk, Quants and Global Markets teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years in equity derivatives trading, experience with structured equity products, and strong Bloomberg/Excel

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in equity derivatives trading.
• Experience with Structured equity products is preferred.
• Experience with e-Trading platforms and price management is preferred.
• University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a quantitative discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification (MSc or CFA) advantageous.
• English required; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage market risk of the Equity Derivatives trading book within the desk's risk appetite and limits.
• Price and execute Equity Derivatives transactions for clients.
• Collaborate with Sales, Structuring, Risk, Quants and other Global Markets teams to deliver tailored client solutions.
• Coordinate with trading teams across our global platform to ensure consistent pricing, risk management and client coverage.
• Monitor market developments, identify trading opportunities and implement hedging strategies.
• Contribute to the continued development of the Equity Derivatives franchise through product expertise, innovation and process improvements.
• Maintain governance, control and risk management standards while supporting business growth.
