HappyRobot Inc. is seeking a versatile Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team. You’ll work directly with customers to onboard, implement, and support our AI platform, while contributing to product development and ongoing innovation.

In this role you’ll build features with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python, design AI/ML solutions, and manage API integrations. We value ownership, urgency with focus, and a founder mindset in a fast-paced startup.

Qualifications

• Must have strong full-stack experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Hands-on Python experience and building AI/ML applications including LLM prompting.
• Ability to manage APIs and integrate with third-party systems.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Founder mindset: independent, takes ownership, thrives in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Customer-Facing Engineering – work with customers from onboarding to ongoing usage to optimize AI solutions.
• Technical Development – build features, MVPs, and scalable solutions.
• Full-Stack Development – develop using React/TypeScript/Node.js and Python.
• AI/ML Applications – design and iterate on AI/ML solutions, including LLM prompting; tuning voices and transcribers.
• Integration & APIs – manage integrations with third-party systems.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams.
• Iterative Problem-Solving – improve AI solutions based on feedback.
• Project Management – manage multiple projects with high-quality delivery.
