EAG, with more than 60 years of experience, is seeking a Lead Planner to join our EPC Projects Division in Madrid, supporting delivery of large-scale energy, power generation, and industrial EPC projects.

Primavera P6 expertise is essential. You will own integrated schedules, coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams, and report progress to clients and management.

Formación

  • Minimum 8 years of planning experience in EPC, industrial, energy, infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and project controls methodologies.
  • Proven experience developing and managing integrated EPC schedules.
  • Experience in critical path analysis, schedule recovery planning and progress measurement.
  • Solid understanding of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning interfaces.
  • Ability to analyse complex schedules and communicate findings effectively to management and clients.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop, maintain and control integrated Level 2 and Level 3 project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Own the integrated EPC schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review, analyse and challenge Level 4 schedules developed by contractors and site teams, ensuring consistency with project objectives and milestones.
  • Assess schedule performance, progress measurement and recovery plans at Level 4.
  • Coordinate planning interfaces between Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning teams.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against baselines.
  • Perform schedule analysis, critical path reviews and progress reporting.

EAG, with more than 60 years of experience, is one of the most important engineering groups in Europe, with technological management capabilities for the development of complex projects.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Planner to join our EPC Projects Division in Madrid, supporting the successful delivery of large-scale energy, power generation, transmission and industrial EPC projects (thermal power plants, currently biomass and combined cycle powerplants).

Working on projects with a value exceeding €100 million, you will be responsible for the development, integration, monitoring and control of project schedules throughout the full EPC lifecycle. You will act as the focal point for all planning-related matters, working closely with project managers, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams, as well as clients and key stakeholders.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, maintain and control integrated Level 2 and Level 3 project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Own the integrated EPC schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review, analyse and challenge Level 4 schedules developed by contractors and site teams, ensuring consistency with project objectives, contractual milestones and Level 3 schedules.
  • Assess schedule performance, progress measurement, productivity assumptions and recovery plans at Level 4 schedule level.
  • Coordinate planning interfaces between Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning teams.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against approved baselines.
  • Perform schedule analysis, critical path reviews, delay assessments and progress reporting.
  • Identify schedule risks and opportunities and define mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports for management and clients.
  • Develop resource-loaded schedules, progress curves and forecasting models.
  • Support the preparation of extension of time and claim documentation when required.
  • Lead planning activities and planning review meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as the planning focal point for project management, clients and key stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and coordination to planners assigned to the project when applicable.
Project Environment
  • Large-scale EPC projects valued at €100M+.
  • Multi-disciplinary project teams covering engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
  • Depending on project size and complexity, the role may involve coordination and guidance of additional planners.
  • Primarily Madrid-based position with occasional project and client visits.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 8 years of planning experience in EPC, industrial, energy, infrastructure or construction projects.

  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
  • Advanced English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
  • Experience in project risk analysis and quantitative schedule risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Experience supporting delay analysis, claims and extension of time processes.
