About the Role:

As an Environmental Technician, you will collaborate closely with the USA project development team. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the environmental viability of land projects for ABEI Energy's development initiatives within the country.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Processing renewable energy projects to obtain permits, analyzing permitting processes in the USA.
  • Review and analyze Environmental Impact Assessments, reports, and studies to support permitting procedures of renewable energy projects.
  • Environmental assessment of land for potential project locations, identifying environmental risks and restrictions for the development of renewable energy projects.
  • Cartographic development and raster analysis.
  • Preparing documentation for administrative permits.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

What we expect from you:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Sciences, Marine Sciences, or similar fields.
  • High proficiency in ArcGIS or QGIS is essential.
  • Familiarity with U.S. regulations.
  • At least 1 year of experience conducting Environmental Studies.
  • Strong English language skills, both spoken and written.
  • A dynamic, proactive, and detail-oriented professional with the ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Other highly desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, or similar tools.
  • Experience with cadastral data and other land information tools.
  • Experience in renewable energies (mainly photovoltaic and wind).
  • Basic knowledge of urban planning.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office programs.
