Job Description:

Solutions Architects (SAs) work closely with AWS customers to optimize their use of the Cloud. They bridge business and technology, engaging at all stages of cloud adoption. SAs create technical content, share best practices, and manage the overall technical relationship with customers, providing guidance on security, cost, performance, reliability, sustainability, and operational efficiency. They understand customer needs and recommend solutions using AWS technology, leading activities such as architecture reviews, white-boarding sessions, demos, and workshops. SAs collaborate with teams across account management, professional services, support, product development, and partners. They combine technical expertise with business acumen to solve complex problems, influence long-term technology strategies, and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders. SAs own the design and implementation of customer solutions, lead internal teams, and contribute to reusable solutions and best practices. They also speak at events, gather feedback for product improvements, resolve complex issues, and mentor others. Working within the AWS global sales team, they help drive cloud adoption and ensure customer success through tailored solutions and support.

Key responsibilities include working with large, strategic customers, shaping strategies with account managers, and developing technical credibility and soft skills. SAs operate autonomously, identify new opportunities, participate in talent development, and contribute to organizational initiatives. They have the chance to practice creativity by linking technology to solutions, implementing reference architectures, and learning continuously. AWS values diversity and encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply, emphasizing inclusive culture, mentorship, career growth, and work/life balance.

Basic qualifications include experience in technology domains like software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, or data analytics; experience in application and infrastructure design or consulting; and IT development or implementation in software or internet industries. Preferred qualifications include experience in software development, internet industries, legacy migration to cloud, and familiarity with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
