A leading educational company is seeking an experienced Editor for their ELT and Bilingual department. The role involves revising and adapting educational materials, creating content, and managing project components to ensure quality. The ideal candidate is flexible, a team player, and has at least 3 years of experience in textbook editing, particularly in ELT or CLIL.

Formación

• At least 3 years experience in textbook edition in ELT or CLIL.
• Teaching experience in the bilingual market preferred.

We are looking for an experienced Editor for the ELT and Bilingual department at Santillana / Sanoma to work at our offices in Tres Cantos.

We seek an experienced, flexible person who is a team player .

The post entails the following :

• To revise, edit and adapt (re-writing or creating texts and activities) the materials handed in by authors, using the editing criteria and style guide. The finished product should be of the highest quality, aligned with pedagogical and strategic objectives.
• To create content following guidelines set by the Editorial Portfolio Manager and under supervision.
• To commission and select illustrations and other graphic elements, ensuring their quality.
• Participate in defining the model unit structure and demo material.
• To revise, proofread, and approve proofs.
• To edit and prepare audio scripts for recording sessions, including revision and approval.
• To write and prepare storyboards for audiovisual materials.
• To manage project components , following instructions from the Managing Editor and schedule, assigning tasks to freelancers, and ensuring delivery.
• To coordinate with departments such as Editorial Services and Digital Product Delivery for timely delivery and editing, and notify of delays.
• Participate in creation and delivery of digital content and review digital products.
• To analyze market competition to understand needs, detect trends, and ensure project quality and market fit.
• To visit schools and participate in market research to increase market contact and identify customer needs.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• At least 3 years experience in textbook edition in ELT or CLIL

Valuable :

• Teaching experience in the bilingual market
