Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) invites applications for an Engineering Manager in Speech, Language Technologies (RE3) within the AI Institute. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of ML engineers, data engineers and computational linguists working on automatic speech recognition, speech synthesis and speech LLMs in a cutting-edge HPC environment.

• 2+ years leading engineering teams in ML/AI projects.
• 4+ years in deep learning for speech processing.
• Publications in deep learning, especially speech.
• Experience in project management and product development.
• Fluency in English; Spanish/Catalan a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead ML engineers, data engineers and computational linguists.
• Own deliveries for prototypes and software development.
• Write requirements for prototypes and coordinate with external providers.
• Participate in technical meetings and gather requirements.
• Mentor junior team members; contribute to research papers.
