Descripción del empleo

You might have heard about us, but under a different name: Doctoralia. It all started 10 years ago when we asked ourselves: is anyone in healthcare thinking about patients? We jumped in and empowered patients by giving them access to leave and read reviews about their visits. We then provided doctors with technology to manage bookings easily and save time, so they could focus on what they always wanted: treating patients. Today, we invite you to join us in making the healthcare experience more human.

Docplanner at scale

We are leaders in 13 countries, trusted by over 50 million patients monthly. More than 300,000 specialists and 2 million bookings per month rely on us. Our growth is supported by leading venture capital funds like Point Nine Capital, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and One Peak Partners. Employing over 2,500 people worldwide, we maintain a startup mindset after 10 years.

How does Docplanner Tech fit here?

At Docplanner Tech, a diverse team of over 400 professionals in Engineering, Data, and Product work on building our global product. Many team members have been here for over 5 years, yet we continue to welcome new talent with enthusiasm.

We could tell you more about us, but our reviews on Glassdoor speak for themselves. If you'd like to see what it feels like to be your authentic self at work, here’s a video of us.

And why should you join us?

Because it feels good to tell your family and friends how you made the world a little better. You go to bed knowing your work matters and aligns with your values.

We aim to make healthcare more human, which starts with you being yourself. We believe diversity of human experience improves healthcare for all. We’re not just different; we embrace diversity. We encourage you to bring your whole self to work, including the option to work remotely, as we are 100% remote-friendly.

Job Description

About the team :

The New Ventures area leads innovation, developing new ventures and solutions that generate revenue. Currently, a key focus is establishing a cohesive noa.ai ecosystem.

One flagship initiative is Noa Notes — an AI-powered solution that automates clinical note creation during patient consultations by listening and extracting key medical information, generating structured notes. This helps healthcare professionals focus on delivering quality care, saving time, and improving patient experience.

Role

We seek a strategic leader as Engineering Manager for the New Ventures / Noa Medic area. Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will manage multiple teams and initiatives, focusing on building high-performing teams for greenfield projects, supporting organizational structure, and fostering professional growth.

In the first six months, your focus will be on transitioning the Noa Notes project to the appropriate teams and enabling rapid development of new Noa Skills. The role requires a product mindset, agility, alignment with business metrics, and a co-founder approach — we want a partner, not just an employee!

Managing the team

  • Lead a team of 8 senior software engineers.
  • Facilitate technical decisions aligned with requirements.
  • Work closely with technical and product leaders to develop strategy.
  • Ensure effective communication within and across teams.

Managing the project

  • Define project scope and objectives involving all stakeholders.
  • Act as a hands-on project manager and leader.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage trade-offs.
  • Support go-to-market strategies.

Organization of the area

  • Support platform and infrastructure strategy development.
  • Coordinate with Data Scientists and ML/Ops teams.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships.

Develop people

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching.
  • Give regular feedback and support career development.
  • Assess performance and foster a collaborative, innovative, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

What will help you thrive?

  • Strong sense of ownership.
  • Passion for building robust products.
  • Understanding of Product and Business metrics.
  • Leadership experience in R&D, AI Solutions, or related fields (nice to have).
  • Experience in pioneering environments, especially startups.
  • Team-building and leadership skills.
  • Technological expertise and background.
  • Project management skills from conception to delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Autonomous and proactive approach.
  • Experience leading multiple teams/departments (nice to have).
  • Growth mindset, working in uncharted areas.

Additional Information

Let’s talk money

  • Salary based on experience, transparent and aligned with career ladder.
  • Flexible benefits via Flexoh, including meal and transport cards, kindergarten, and training savings.
  • Share options after 6 months.

Work-life balance

  • Remote or hybrid work from Barcelona.
  • Flexible hours, minimal meetings.
  • Summer schedule in July/August.
  • 23 paid holidays, with options to exchange.
  • Additional holiday for birthdays or anniversaries.

Health and wellness

  • Private healthcare with Adeslas for you and family.
  • Access to gyms via Wellhub.
  • Access to mental wellness platform, toiFeel.

We promote equal opportunities and diversity, ensuring respectful treatment for all applicants. If you need support during recruitment, let us know. We value authenticity and inclusivity in our workplace.

We believe in equal rights, dignity, and respect for all. - Mariusz Gralewski, CEO
