Joppy is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to make a real impact on product and business. You will join a 200+ engineer team, collaborate across departments, and help drive scalable solutions in a fast-growing tech environment.

You’ll lead engineers, participate in hiring, and focus on building solid foundations while learning quickly and delivering real product value.

Formación

• 5+ years as a full-stack engineer (or similar).
• 2+ years leading teams.
• Strong understanding of APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.).
• Experience hiring and growing engineers.

At Joppy, we're partnering with a fast-growing tech company to find a key hire: a hands-on Engineering Manager who wants to make a real impact on both product and business.

This is not just about managing — they're looking for someone who enjoys getting involved, solving real problems, and helping take product development to the next level

The Engineering team

You'd be joining a team of 200+ engineers. They value curiosity, proactivity, and strong communication skills (especially important in a distributed environment).

They're not strict about tech stacks. While they currently use Ruby on Rails and React / React Native, what really matters is your ability to learn fast and build solid solutions.

• You've managed people before and helped engineers grow in their careers (ideally even beyond you).
• You've been involved in hiring and know how to spot great talent.
• You're comfortable collaborating across teams and building strong foundations.
• When you disagree, you focus on finding the best solution — not winning the argument.
• You bring 5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer (or similar).
• You have 2+ years of experience leading teams.
• You have a strong understanding of APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.) and integrations.
• You care deeply about consistency, performance, quality, and scalability — and know how to translate that into real products.

Hiring process

• First conversation with People - alignment on expectations and culture.
• Second with the Engineering Director - team fit and collaboration.
• Live Engineering Challenge - focused on how you think, communicate, and approach problems (not perfection).
• Final coffee chat with the CTO - culture, vision, and any open questions.
