This role is full-time and offers home working flexibility.

Areas of responsibility

• Acting as a team leader for individual contributors (QA and Software engineers);
• Being responsible for the team's direction, performance and outcomes;
• People and skills management;
• Fostering and advocating for Lean-Agile ways of working;
• Ensuring the product's technical excellence;
• Software and solution architecture;
• Recruitment and retention;
• Onboarding and training;
• Ensuring effective collaboration and communication with related functions

Your future tasks will include

• Hiring, mentoring, and managing performance within the team;
• Continuously improve delivery flow by advocating and implementing Lean-Agile practices;
• Monitoring and analyzing team performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement;
• Providing regular reporting and metrics to the Head of Development to enable effective decision-making;
• Collaborating with the Head of Development, your peers and Principal Engineer to align technical and product strategies;
• Overseeing the technical and architectural design processes;
• Overseeing the technical strategy implementation;
• Tracking the system performance according to Non-Functional requirements and ensuring adherence;
• Leading internal functional and cross-functional projects to optimize the development process.

You're going to need this to be successful in this role

• Highly self-motivated and results-oriented team player;
• 7+ years of experience in software development, QA or related areas, with at least 3 years in a leadership position (Team Lead or Engineering Manager);
• Experience in people management and leading remote, cross-functional teams;
• Good understanding of software development processes, including frontend and backend development, software testing, and CI / CD;
• Designing and implementing software solutions;
• Good understanding of the principles of building a reliable architecture;
• Experience with software development tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence;
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Advanced level of English

It's nice if you also have

• Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework);
• DevOps mindset;
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker;
