Group-Ip in Barcelona seeks an Engineering Coordinator with strong background in technical coordination and project-level governance. You will understand cross-disciplinary interactions, challenge leads when needed, and identify when escalation is required.

Your responsibilities include coordinating Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation, Civil/Structural, HVAC and Architecture, managing interfaces, and leading design reviews to ensure coherent, clash-free delivery.

Formación

• University degree in Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional engineering experience across multidisciplinary industrial projects.
• Ideally at least 3 years in a coordination or lead engineering role (Engineering Coordinator, Lead Engineer, etc.).
• Experience with managing discipline engineers.
• Experience in an EPCM/EPC company and Life Sciences or Food Industries is required (min 3 years).
• Experience across Concept, Basic, Detailed Design and support to Procurement/Construction.
• Demonstrated experience working with multiple engineering disciplines.
• At least 10 people management experience.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate engineering deliverable lists and schedules.

• Coordinate layouts and/or 3D/BIM models and resolve clashes/interfaces.
• Manage vendor information and integration of vendor packages into the overall design.
• Manage technical queries, scope changes and multidisciplinary impacts.
• Interact with Procurement, Construction and/or Commissioning.
• Coordinate internal resources, external engineering companies, design offices and/or suppliers.

The Engineering Coordinator role is primarily a technicalcoordination and project-level engineering governance role. The person musthave sufficient engineering experience to understand interactions betweendisciplines, identify inconsistencies and interfaces, challenge DisciplineLeads when necessary, and recognize when additional specialist expertise isrequired.

Requirements

• Universitydegree in Engineering, preferably a Master's degree .
  
• Minimum8 years of professional engineering experience, with significantexposure to multidisciplinary industrial projects.
  
• Ideally at least 3 years in a coordination or lead engineering role, suchas Engineering Coordinator, Lead Engineer, Engineering Lead, ProjectEngineer, Package Lead/Package Owner, or equivalent.
  
• Experience with managingdiscipline engineers.
  
• Experiencewithin an EPCM/EPC company, engineering consultancy/design office . Experience with Life Sciencesand Food Industries is required, minimum of 3 years.
  
• Experiencecovering several engineering phases, such as Concept, Basic Design,Detailed Design and, ideally, support to Procurement and Construction.
  
• Demonstratedexperience working with multiple engineering disciplines.
  
• At least 10 people managementexperience.
