GROUP IPS, based in Barcelona, is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to lead technical integration across disciplines and ensure robust interfaces and design integrity. The role requires significant experience in multidisciplinary industrial projects and hands-on coordination of design reviews and vendor packages.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in engineering, 3+ years in lead roles, and a background in EPCM environments, with exposure to Life Sciences or Food industries, delivering concept

• Minimum 8 years of professional engineering experience in multidisciplinary industrial projects.
• Ideally 3+ years in coordination or lead role (Engineering Coordinator, Lead Engineer, etc.).
• Experience managing discipline engineers and in EPCM/EPC setups.
• Experience across Concept to Detailed Design and support to Procurement/Construction.
• Experience with multiple engineering disciplines and teams, including management of 10+ people.

Responsabilidades

• Handle technical queries and scope changes and assess multidisciplinary impacts.

The Engineering Coordinator role is primarily a technicalcoordination and project-level engineering governance role. The person musthave sufficient engineering experience to understand interactions betweendisciplines, identify inconsistencies and interfaces, challenge DisciplineLeads when necessary, and recognize when additional specialist expertise isrequired.

Yourresponsibilities will include:

• Coordinationof multiple engineering disciplines: Process, Mechanical, Piping,Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation, Civil/Structural, HVAC,Architecture, etc.
  
• Managementof technical interfaces and battery limitsbetween disciplines or packages.
  
• Coordinationof engineering deliverable lists and engineering schedules.
  
• Organizationof or participation in Design Reviews and interdisciplinary reviews.
  
• Coordinationof layouts and/or 3D/BIM models and resolution of clashes/interfaces would be a plus.
  
• Managementof vendor information and integration of vendor packages into the overalldesign.
  
• Managementof technical queries, scope changes and their multidisciplinary impacts.
  
• Interactionwith Procurement, Construction and/or Commissioning.
  
• Coordinationof internal resources, external engineering companies/design officesand/or suppliers.
  

Requirements

• Universitydegree in Engineering, preferably a Master's degree .
  
• Minimum8 years of professional engineering experience, with significantexposure to multidisciplinary industrial projects.
  
• Ideally at least 3 years in a coordination or lead engineering role, suchas Engineering Coordinator, Lead Engineer, Engineering Lead, ProjectEngineer, Package Lead/Package Owner, or equivalent.
  
• Experience with managingdiscipline engineers.
  
• Experiencewithin an EPCM/EPC company, engineering consultancy/design office . Experience with Life Sciencesand Food Industries is required, minimum of 3 years.
  
• Experiencecovering several engineering phases, such as Concept, Basic Design,Detailed Design and, ideally, support to Procurement and Construction.
  
• Demonstratedexperience working with multiple engineering disciplines.
  
• At least 10 people managementexperience.
