A leading company in engineering consultancy is seeking 3 Engineering Consultants with expertise in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or I&C. The role involves supporting large industrial projects, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring safety compliance during construction. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in engineering projects and strong communication skills in Spanish and English. Freelance contract preferred, with remote work available until late 2026.

Formación

  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in executing engineering projects.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.

Until late-2026 remote work; afterwards consultants are expected to work onsite (North of Spain). Requirement : 3x Engineering Consultants with expertise in Electrical, I&C, Mechanical, or Automation. Initial contract duration is until end of 2025, with potential extension.

We are seeking 3 profiles across different disciplines : Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, and / or I&C. Extensive experience in large industrial projects (>

100 million EUR), including brownfield and greenfield developments, is mandatory.

Project Description and Responsibilities :

Supporting the planning, design, and construction of manufacturing facilities, determining specifications, resources, structural design, and construction setups, the project engineer plays a key role in expansion projects to support RBM's growth and Vision 2030. The engineer will contribute to resolving technical issues and suggesting improvements to meet process requirements.

As part of the project team, the engineer coordinates design and construction within their expertise, liaising with project management, EPCm companies, and contractors to ensure successful implementation from start to commissioning or handover.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Prepare, review, and approve technical documentation, ensuring standards, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure completeness and competitiveness of project documents for tendering.
  • Support procurement by screening bids and confirming receipt.
  • Supervise construction, installation, and commissioning within their responsibility.
  • Coordinate with other engineering teams to integrate work and meet deadlines without delays.
  • Plan and execute tasks safely, efficiently, reliably, and cost-effectively.
  • Make timely quality decisions within their scope.
  • Gather data to inform decision-making on complex issues.
  • Propose improvements in procedures, technology, or productivity.
  • Capture user feedback and lessons learned.
  • Participate in audits.
  • Perform tasks safely, complying with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Manage onsite vendors and contractors, analyzing risks and recommending mitigation actions.
  • Support equipment commissioning and internal qualification.
  • Provide technical support as needed for projects.

Technical Profile Requirements :

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation / Automation) or equivalent.
  • Experience in executing engineering projects in relevant specialties.
  • Understanding of industrial project execution in operational environments.
  • Knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of EHS standards, industry best practices, and legal requirements.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Ability to perform tasks following established rules and procedures.

Contract preference : freelance.
