Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking an Engineer Wind Farm IIoT to translate wind-farm operation needs into structured SCADA/IIoT requirements and define technical specs. You will bridge operations, support and engineering, ensuring traceability and robust configurations across sites.

You will validate, test and deploy SCADA features, identify improvement opportunities, and provide advanced 3rd‑level support. Strong English and willingness to travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in SCADA/IIoT or industrial IT/OT environments.
• Proven experience in Requirements Engineering, Product Ownership or Technical Project Management.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, RTUs/RTACs, protocols, Linux/Windows and WinCC.

• Support validation, testing and deployment of new SCADA features, configurations and system updates
• Identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities, driving standardization and continuous improvement across wind farms
• Provide 3rd-level support for SCADA/IIoT applications, troubleshooting complex technical issues and supporting lower support levels
• Create and maintain documentation, training materials and knowledge-sharing activities while collaborating with international teams

Your Tasks

As part of our growth, we are looking for an Engineer Wind Farm IIoT (m/f/d). In this role within the Wind Farm Industrial IoT Support team, you will focus on translating operational and technical needs from wind farm systems into clear, structured and implementable SCADA/IIoT requirements. You will also combine SCADA expertise with a strong focus on defining and improving system requirements, acting as a key interface between operations, support and engineering. You will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field*
• At least 5 years of experience in SCADA, IIoT, industrial IT/OT or similar environments
• Proven experience in Requirements Engineering, Product Ownership, Technical Project Management or similar roles
• Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, RTUs/RTACs, industrial communication protocols, Linux/Windows environments and databases (WinCC required)
• Experience translating business and operational needs into technical requirements and working closely with development teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and documentation skills in complex technical environments
• Advanced English level (C1–C2) and availability to travel. Spanish and/or German are a plus
• For foreign qualifications, recognition as the corresponding Spanish degree equivalency is required when applying.
