As QA Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our applications by designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and driving automation. You will work in the Machine Learning Products & APIs Team, building APIs and products around LanguageWire Machine Learning models, ensuring the performance and quality of internal APIs and their integration with other products and services. You will also be responsible for the quality of customer-facing products like LanguageWire Translate, our machine translation (MT) solution, using a research-based approach and the latest technologies.

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Full-Stack Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers, and report to your Team Lead.

Responsibilities include:
  • Driving quality initiatives in a cross-functional team of 10-12 members, shaping QA strategy and automation coverage
  • Contributing to testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensuring performance of web interfaces (especially Vue) and API integrations (Python)
  • Owning QA lifecycle from planning to release validation
  • Designing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
  • Writing clear test cases and scenarios for maximum coverage
  • Performing regression, integration, exploratory, and usability testing
  • Supporting post-release testing, performance benchmarking, and root cause analysis
  • Coaching developers on quality practices to promote shift-left testing culture
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of hands-on QA experience with a focus on automation testing
  • Proficiency with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
  • Experience testing REST APIs and backend systems, preferably in Python
  • Knowledge of version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with test assets like test plans, bug reports, and test data
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Experience with performance testing tools and familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Background in testing ML-based applications or data pipelines is a plus
