To strengthen our team in Spain, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineer, Firmware Development.

About The Role

We are seeking an Engineer, Firmware Development to join our Valencia R&D team. We welcome applications from new graduates or candidates with experience. The candidate will be integrated into a dynamic, cross-functional team to develop communication systems for Smart Grid transformation, manufacturing yields, and costs through creative thinking and innovative ideas.

This full-time, remote position requires strong programming skills, a deep understanding of networking protocols, and a desire to develop embedded solutions for cutting-edge networking products.

Responsibilities

  • Development of embedded firmware for real-time systems.
  • Specify and implement drivers, algorithms, and protocols for our BPL communications system.
  • Design, implement, and perform unit testing of key features in networking technologies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Proficiency in C programming and network protocols.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, development methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience with low-level programming (OS core and drivers).
  • Familiarity with the GNU tool chain.
  • Good understanding of IP networks and communication protocols.
  • Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, uC / OS, ThreadX).
  • Knowledge of embedded CPU architectures.
  • Experience with Linux system administration.
  • Strong desire to learn and develop deep skills in embedded software development for networking products.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Industry experience in embedded software development and communication systems is an asset.
